This is Kyosho 1/28 First Mini-Z Nissan Skyline 1982 Super Silhouette Readyset RTR Car Kit EP w/ 2.4GHz Radio. The FIRST MINI-Z has three points that make it different to ordinary toy R/C cars: the ‘New Real Drive Mechanism’, ‘Mode Switching’, and ‘Time Attack at Home’. With its advanced chassis, shock-absorbing suspension, and high-grip rubber tires, the FIRST MINI-Z delivers a stable and responsive driving experience that makes every drive a thrill. The pre-assembled display-standard body adds the finishing touch that this the perfect for RC model for beginners or those looking to upgrade from toy R/C models.

This car traces its origins to "Group 5" (commonly known as the "Silhouette Formula"), a category created under new FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) regulations in the mid-1970s. In Japan, it was introduced in 1979 as the "Fuji Super Silhouette Series." Initially run as a supporting race, it quickly grew into a major phenomenon that overshadowed the main event.

The actual car retains echoes of the "R30 Hardtop RS" while wearing a body fitted with a massive front spoiler and rear wing. This monster machine paired an ultra-lightweight, 1,005 kg pipe-frame chassis with a 2,082cc "LZ20B" inline-4 DOHC turbo engine producing over 570 PS. Coming roughly a decade after the legendary exploits of the "Hakosuka GT-R," the Skyline's return to the circuit in 1982 was something fans had long hoped for.

With explosive acceleration the moment boost kicked in—the so-called "dokkan turbo" (bang-turbo) character—this was a wild machine to tame. Masahiro Hasemi, the driver who mastered it, once said he was moved to hear the roar of excitement from the grandstands, a testament to just how electric the atmosphere at the circuit became. Along with the dramatic afterfire bursting from the exhaust on deceleration, this car thrilled audiences of the era and continues to captivate devoted fans to this day.
